Rick Geoffrion has more than 35 years of management experience in the medical device industry with more than 30 years in the cardiovascular device space. Rick has previously led the company foundation for four medical device companies: Mitralign (acquired by Edwards), CircuLite (acquired by HeartWare), FlowMedica (acquired by Angiodynamics) and X-Cell and guided the recapitalization and redirection of two other successful medical device companies: Impella (acquired by Abiomed) and Pathway (acquired by Bayer). Rick currently serves as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cyrano Therapeutics, a private company that has developed a treatment to restore the sense of smell and flavor in those who have lost it. He is also a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors for MDIC, the Medical Device Innovation Consortium, a public/private partnership between the FDA, CMS, and the medical device industry. By sitting on the Executive Committee with the Director of the FDA Center for Devices and the Director of the Coverage and Analysis Group at CMS, Rick can stay on the cutting edge of Regulatory and Reimbursement policy. In addition to these responsibilities, Rick is currently the Chairman of Aventamed, an Ireland-based Otolaryngology device company, Vice Chairman of The Mullings Group, as well as holding board positions at Corflow Therapeutics and SoundBite Medical Solutions.
